I’m Whitney, a photographer and photo editor based in the New York City area with over 15 years in the industry. I have a refined, creative eye that only comes from years of experience.
My life-long passion for photography started in high school when I picked up my first SLR film camera and watched as my images magically appeared in the darkroom. You will see a lot of B&W images here because it really was my first true love. After pursuing my degree in photography where I learned on a Hasselblad film camera, my work was recognized with awards and I went on to work as a retoucher, assistant photo editor and photojournalist published in major publications such as the New York Times. I landed in NYC where I was the portfolio manager for a well-known advertising photo agency, working for some of the top photographers in the industry. Eventually I found my niche as a documentary style wedding, event and portrait photographer.
Today I am also using my expertise to give my editing clients a seamless, elevated outsourcing experience.
With an admiration for the timeless quality of film, I offer my editing clients film emulation and matching. Whether or not you shoot film, I will help you find and achieve your unique signature style while drawing from the classic look of film, if that's what you prefer.
When I am not focused on photography, I can be found spending time outdoors with my 8-year-old in our vintage camper, advocating for children with special needs, hanging out with our 2 cats and dog, and collaborating with my cinematographer husband.
